THE RHYTHM METHOD  are made up of six very experienced musicians who play a lively and
varied blend of soul / r&b and a great selection of popular brassy favourites including numbers from
SAM& DAVE, OTIS REDDING, ELVIS, ROXY MUSIC, THE BEATLES, JOE COCKER, MADNESS,
SQUEEZE, STEVIE WONDER and many more plus some great songs from those classic films
THE BLUES BROTHERS and THE COMMITMENTS
The band was formed in 1994 as THE ROLL BAND from the remnants of  BUGGIES BIG ROLL BAND,
We’ve been called THE RHYTHM METHOD for a number of years now.
During our illustrious career we have played numerous festivals including
STANLEY BLUES FESTIVAL, MOUTH OF THE TYNE FESTIVAL, STREETS OF THE NORTH FESTIVAL,
MIDDLESBROUGH MUSIC LIVE FESTIVAL, STOCKTON RIVERSIDE FESTIVAL,
Plus support to the great and famous including ;
CHRIS FARLOWE, MICK TAYLOR (ex Rolling Stones), ROGER CHAPMAN (Family),  
THE CLIMAX BLUES BAND,  ZOOT MONY,  BIG JOE LOUIS,  BRENDAN HEALEY BAND,
CHRIS JAGGER (Mick’s brother), OCEAN COLOUR SCENE,  OSIBISA,
THE ANIMALS with SPENCER DAVIS, THE HAMSTERS,THE WILDCATS OF KILKENNY
And probably a few more we can’t remember, but they’ll remember us !
Over the years we’ve had a number of changes, John and Alan being the only remaining original members.
We believe that the band is at it’s best at the moment with the current line up with
JOHN who is one of the best vocalist’s in the area and also doubles up on guitar and trombone.
We have HOWARD on Sax (tenor and alto), DIRK on tenor Sax and Flute
to make a great tight brass section. ( try getting a beer out of them )
We have DAVE on Guitar who joined after a twenty year break and has amazed us all with his versatility.
Then we have TREVOR on Bass and Vocals and ALAN on Drums, who work together
to provide a solid and punchy driving force.
We play a great mix of various styles of good solid enjoyable music that never fails to please.
We play all kinds of venues mainly in Teesside and the North East , including the local pub circuit,
private functions such as weddings, parties etc. and festivals, etc. etc.
